Abstract The aim of the action research class room are:(1) describing of expression
the learning process in the contemporary of poetry by Contextual Teaching and
Learning (CTL) approach.; and (2) showing approach of Contextual Teaching and
Learning (CTL) canimprove the ability to appreciate the contemporary poetry of
pupils. To reach the target, this research is designed in the two cycles. Each
cycles consist of twice meeting. Every meeting composed into two hours lesson and
